8th Grade Counselor

Welcome, RBMS Titans!

My name is Dr. Riojas, and I am your 8th-grade counselor. I am excited to be here with you during your last year of middle school!

A little about me:

This is my 9th year as a school counselor and my 16th year in education. I received my bachelor's from the University of Texas-Pan American with a degree in History and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Southern California. After serving as a teacher and a school counselor, I decided to continue my studies at Texas Tech University, where I obtained my Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction, with a focus on Language, Diversity, and Literacy Studies.

My goal is to help our 8th-grade students and families smoothly navigate through the year and begin the transition of entering high school. I am so excited to be a part of your middle school journey, and I am here to help with whatever needs you may have.
